We are taking our J to JC Penney for portraits tomorrow. Any advice? I know you got your J's pics done there when she was little.

    They've switched staff since we last took her there... it seems like the new manager is pretty good.

    IMO, you have to be very forward with what you want.  Otherwise, you'll wind up with a weird flower or tea set or other strange prop in a lot of your pictures.  Make sure if you want a couple of backgrounds you say "OK, enough of this one, let's switch to black!"  Because, ultimately, you don't have a whole lot of time.  Especially on a Saturday, when they're more busy.

    Also, I have brought a couple of my own props before.  Like, the Christmas pictures where DD is surrounded by Christmas ornaments on a white background?  I brought those. 

    Oh, don't be surprised if they're like "why don't mom and dad get in this one!"  (ugh.)

    Do you have one of the coupons?  We always use the "As many sheets as you want for $3.99 plus a free 8X10" one... you should be able to find it online.

    Did you call to make your appt?  Or, make it online?  If you made it online, make sure you call today to confirm.  I don't think that location is great about using the online system.

    Good to know! I do want a picture with all three of us, and then some cute shots of the boy. I will bring a couple of props, though (maybe Sophie, lol).
