My favorite desk nurse at the ped's office is out till Monday. Ped is pretty useless on most things BF related.
I think DS's poops are the wrong color. Greenish yellow (sometimes more green), and orangish yellow. A few days ago he had a little bit of blood in his poop. Today I saw a tiny bit again. From what I read blood in poop goes largely undiagnosed in BF infants. He is also fussing at the breast, but not until 1/2 way or at the end of feedings. I wish he could tell me if his tummy is upset!
WWYD? I'm thinking about cutting out dairy which is a major sacrifice

I ate two big bowls of Lucky Charms last night and it made me so happy.
Re: If you EBF, poop advice please
Have they changed from whatever colour they were before? I reference this website for poop issues. Hope you don't have to give up your lucky charms (I'm loving my fruit loops lately!)

Can you call a lactation consultant at your hospital?
I also had to give up dairy (due to DS's eczema) and it is so hard - I LOVE ice cream! But I did try the Silk Almond Milk with my creal this morning and it was pretty good.
DS had green mucousy poops when he was a baby and I had to cut out dairy. All of his issues went right away.
It could also be a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance so make sure the baby is emptying your breast.
I'm going to make another suggestion about the green poop-
make sure YOU are eating enough.
they had me take out dairy and all that, and that didn't work. A friend suggested that I may not be eating enough, and once i started eating like every hour it went away.
Good luck!
You have to give up dairy for at least 2 weeks, better to make it 4 weeks because it can take that long to get out of your child's system.
I gave up dairy and while it does suck, I lost 3lbs nearly right away.
Thanks for all your responses! I XP'd on the breastfeeding board and literally got one response.
I'm cutting out obvious dairy for now
Hope to see some change w/in a couple weeks. If it's dairy I have to throw out my freezer stash and I'm going back to work in a week. Oh well.
