Who's feeling movement?

I have not felt anything! I know it's early, and as a first time mom I was told I probably wouldn'y know it's the baby moving at first. But my Dr. was surprised today that I have not felt a thing!

  • I have been for awhile. DH felt it from the outside for the first time on Tuesday night.

  • I'm not sure that I've felt anything yet either. :(  The u/s tech did seet that I have anterior placenta so the Dr. said that it would be a couple more weeks before I felt anything.
  • I am, I am!!!! Now that I'm here I just want to enjoy the rest of my pregnany, I kept having a rushing feeling to get to the next milestone.  But I guess honestly next week after our a/s I will really rest easy (hopfully!!).  I  have been so nervous if things were ok, it's tbe best feeling in the world knowing my LO is ok.
  • I'm a FTM as well.  I'm being monitored very closely for a bunch of reasons but I went in for an u/s at 16 weeks because I thought something was very weird (wrong).  Turns out what I was feeling was the baby moving.

For me it isn't "butterflies in my tummy" or a quickening - it was a weird, not pleasant, sorta-pain.  Hard to describe.  I usually get it at night.

Just have to tell you that your daughter is so beautful!!!  Love seeing your posts because I get another shot of that smile :)

  • Feeling some flutters and twitches.... mostly at night when I am lying still. Its very sporatic and not very strong, but I am 99.9% sure its baby because its never followed by an urge to burp or anything like that! =P

  • I might have felt the baby move 2 nights ago.  I felt a shudder in my lower abdomen.  I can't wait until I am feeling more movement!

It's exactly the same for me. Isn't it odd though that all the books I'm reading say it's soooo unlikely I'll feel movement this early?

  • Lots of movment for me, DH got a feel last night. Around week 14 I didn't know if it was gas or baby, but now there is no mistake its baby.

  • I am or atleast I think I am. I felt a light tap, tap in the same spot for about four or five nights in a row. A few days went by where I didnt feel anything and then last night I felt the tapping again! It never lasts very long, 10-15 seconds, mainly late at night when I am watching tv or reading.

     Hope you feel something soon!!

I've felt movement occasionally, but with DD I didn't feel even a tiny flutter until 18 weeks, and nothing super obvious or consistent until 21-22 weeks. (My placenta was anterior.)

  • I am. At first I thought it might have been gas but now I know it for sure is the baby. I keep getting poked and prodded randomly throughout the day. And it's usually in the lower left area of my belly.

Me too. It's more like an inch or two below my belly button on the left side. I think that's where the baby must hang out. I work at a desk so I'm sitting still most of the day. I get flutters or popping (like popcorn) a few times a day. Yesterday morning the baby was really moving when I woke up. I keep trying to feel it from the outside but the baby stops moving whenever I put my hand on my stomach. Sad

  • Mine started last week. With my first pregnancy I didn't feel anything until way later but then again I probably wasn't paying attention as closely. I had a pretty good thump yesterday. Every time I feel something I pop on my Doppler and sure enough he/she is thumping around in there.

This is my second baby and I started feeling flutters around 12 weeks and pokes starting at 17 weeks.  My DH felt the baby for the first time on Monday.  :)

With my DD I felt flutters at 15 weeks and pokes around 18 weeks.

My SIL didn't feel movement until closer to 20 weeks and her DH didn't get to feel the baby until closer to 24 weeks.  As you know, everyone is different.

  • I think I have but I'm not positive.  It feels like he is kicking or punching me every now and then and they are becoming stronger every day.  I guess it's been about 4 or so days that I've been feeling this.  I go back in for an ultrasound tomorrow so maybe he will do it during the ultrasound so I can verify it.

  • I'm feeling movement pretty often now!  I felt it the first time sometime during the end of week 17,  and at the time I wasn't sure it was baby, but it's gradually become less subtle and happening more often so now I'm sure!

  • I first felt movement in early in my 15th week.  I was lying on my stomach, and I felt a weird squirming sensation on the lower left. I shifted, and then it stopped.  This happened the next night too.

Two days ago I felt my first strong kick (or punch), which at this point was a weird poke feeling.  No other movement, just that one strong poke.  I'm happy to be feeling some movement though, it's reassuring.

  • I have been feeling defiinate movement in the last few days, I think I felt it earlier, but I wasn't sure what it was, it is a very odd feeling, and lower down than I was expecting, but I am feeling it quite often now, so I am sure that's what it is.
