Babies: 3 - 6 Months

When did you start using the jumperoo?

I just put together LO's jumperoo because I am sick of looking at the ugly box. She has really good head control but I think that she is probably still a little too young for it. So I was just curious when did you start putting LO in a jumperoo (or activity saucer)?

  • 4 months here as well.
  • We put our LO in his jumperoo at about 2 1/2 months. We stuffed blankets around him and uinderneath him. He didn't jump but he did look and play with all of the toys and lights. He loves getting in his jumperoo.

  • About 3.5 months-just for about 5 minutes at a time (he has great head control too). Then he started to enjoy it at about 4 months and loved it jumping up and down, laughing and squealing by 5 months. The box said 4 months+, so that's why I didn't give him much time in the beginning.

  • 3 1/2 months - like PP said, she just stood there (and we had to put something under it so that she could reach the ground) but she liked it and we only left her in it for about 15 minutes a day.  She's over 4 months now and can reach the ground and jumps a little bit.

  • 3 1/2 months, she always had really good head control. We did the exersaucer at 3 months. She didn't really start jumping until 4 months.

  • my pedi told us to wait til lo can sit up by himself, plus if you look at the instructions on alot of products like the jumperoo they say to make sure lo can sit up unsupported. so i have yet to put him in one til doc approval

  • 3 months she stood/sat and played with the things.  In the last week she has started jumping and turning herself to the different toys.

  • Apparently I don't pay attention to suggested ages...don't tell on me.  I put her in at 2 months.  Actually, here is a picture of the first time she used it.  She didn't start jumping until 4 months, but grabbed at the toys and loved the lights from the very beginning.  And she had good head control very early on so she did fine with it.

She was 2 months and 2 days in this picture.
