Oh no, Erin, I'm sorry.
If it's any comfort, my dad was diagnosed with liver cancer 10 years ago when they discovered he was in the last stages of hepatitis. Less than 5% of his liver was functioning. They administered aggressive treatment for both and amazingly, his liver came back almost 100%. The liver is a very resilient organ. If it has even a smidgeon of function, given the proper treatment, it will be bounce back.

Thanks everyone. I'm in shock. We knew something was up, but I really didn't think the biopsy would come back saying he had cancer. Luckily it was discovered in a scan when he had a kidney stone attack so hopefully early.
We're all leaving for Florida tomorrow. He'll get his scans and a treatment plan and prognosis the Tuesday we get back (the 19th).

My thoughts are with you and your family. We just went through liver issues in my family and they aren't fun and are very scary. Best wishes.
