i have an irregular period, and i wasn't temping, so i don't know exactly when i O.... i had a dating u/s yesterday and i'm pretty sure the ultrasound tech was wrong.
she measured 7w3d (1.2cm), which i think is
accurate, since that's what the machine measured. but when i count the
days back, the conception date should be june 2/3/4, not 5/26 like she had
said.
she said that the due date is 2/13, and when i enter that into anything online, it says i should be at 8w3d..
what do you think? i'm thinking i might hold my due date that i've made up myself of 2/21.
ETA: i POAS positive on 6/14, which would make it 10 days after O, if i chose the later conception date....that would be "early" but still likely, right?
Re: due date / irregular period
The ultrasound is going to be most correct.
Your period length won't matter - and even if you know which day you O'd, you still won't know which day you conceived (sperm lives up to 5 days...)
So going off of O-ing and period lengths it's still not going to be very exact. The ultrasound will take basic measurements to determine how far along the fetus is. (and, as I'm sure you know, due dates aren't an exact science anyway - they're give or take several weeks...)
Hi I remember you from the bump! I must of missed the news congrats!
I have one of those pregnancy wheels from My Dr from my 1st PG'y. I loved looking at it and seeing different scenerios and how far along I would be at certain points etc.
SO...I put in 7 weeks on July 3rd. (it doesn't show ticks for days between the weeks) Yesterday was 7w3d right?
keeping the wheel there, the info points to a due date of Feburary 19th. Then it says a conception date of May 28-29 and a missed period of June 11th. Granted if your cycles are longer or shorter, the 1st day of last period would be different, but it shows a May 14/15th. (it's between the lines here)
See if your doctor can give you a wheel. They usually break out one to figure out the due date at your 1st appt.
If it were me and my dating u/s showed a 7w3d as of yesterday, I would go with the Feb 19 due date.
HTH!
yes thank you! this helps a lot. i'm pretty sure the tech just used the wheel incorrectly and was quick to guess. i will have my doc verify at my next appt 7/27.
i know the due date isn't "accurate", but i'm just dying of curiosity of how far long my baby is right now..since we're so early..each week there's something crucial developing, and i want to know exactly what is developing when
