Preemie socks and hats

Where is a good place to find and buy preemie sized socks and hats?  I know with our little guy, born at 34w 5d, but weighing 6 lbs 1 oz, all the hats and socks we had for him were too big.  My friend is delivering her twins today at 34w 6d, and they are going to be smaller than my little guy--they are estimating a little under 4 lbs for one and a little over 4 lbs for the other.  Knowing how hard it is to find things that fit preemies, I want to send her a gift package with preemie socks, hats, diapers, and a few things for her.  I've got the diapers and things for her, but finding hats and socks isn't easy!

Where have you had luck? Any brands work well for you?

    When DD was really small (probably until she hit about 6lbs), none of the hats fit her. Our NICU provided two or three hand-knit ones and that's pretty much all we could use.

    Yup, that's all that fit DS, too.  We got the hospital standard hat plus a hand knit one, but they are both kind of ugly.  I was hoping to get my friend something cuter.

    Yup, that's all that fit DS, too.  We got the hospital standard hat plus a hand knit one, but they are both kind of ugly.  I was hoping to get my friend something cuter.  

    We did get a couple as a part of different outfits from a preemie website, but those were actually too small. They were too shallow. Socks were tough, too, we ended up using 2 pairs of socks and they stayed on better that way. But yeah, also not cute lol

    I got some at Buy Buy Baby. It was a set of socks, hat and mittens.

    DS wore hats from BRU (came as part of an outfit) - he was wearing them at under 4 lbs. Gap had a newborn hat that fit him.

    Socks are useless in NICU because there is a cord on their foot monitoring their pulse...and since everything is climate controlled/they are swaddled you won't need them. When he came home I just found some tiny socks :) Really sweet of you!
