But I said Please!

A recent conversation with Emme:

Emme: I want a crunchy bar. (granola bar)

Me: We don't have any crunchy bars. Would you like some strawberries?

Emme: No. I want a crunchy bar puhweeeeeseee.

Me: I already told you, we don't have any more. You ate them all.

Emme: But I said puhweeeeseee!

  • If the kids keep asking after I've told them we're out of something, I give them the imaginary version of it. I know, I'm mean. :)

hahahaha - I totally do this too.  Or I tell R to go to his kitchen and make himself one.  lol.  Yay for mean mommies!

Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

  • Cute!

It reminds me of a conversation my mom tell of having with me around age 3...

Mom: What kind of Ice Cream do you want?

    Me: I want Strawberry

Mom: Well honey we don't have stawberry we have chocolate and vanilla so what do you want?.

Me: You asked me what I wanted and I WANT Strawberry!

My mom just shook her head and thought oh lord am I in trouble with this one.  She did have to be honest with her self on reflection and learn that if there were choices she better give them to me instead just asking me.Big Smile
