YMCA swim lessons?

I'm thinking of doing swim lessons at the YMCA near us (Powell-Crosley) in the fall.  Anyone been to this particular location? What were your experiences?  Good or bad?  How about the YMCA in general? 

Any other recommendations if not the YMCA?  TIA!

    I did not do lessons at that location with Jacob, we went to the Y on the west side in the spring of 2010.  Maybe it was just this location, but I was less than impressed.  The water was freezing, most times the "instructors" could care less about what was going on, they had our class and 2 other classes going on in the pool at the same time (indoors so very loud) and one particular family let their other kid in the pool in the area where we were doing lessons and the kid kept running in to me and splashing us.  I didn't know what to expect since it was our first time and he was just under 2, but it was pretty boring and they just did the same thing at each class.

    A co-worked just told me about Kids First. She said she's heard really good things about them. If they weren't so far away from us, I'd be tempted to sign up Brynn and I for a class.

    UC Rec Center offers the most economical option we could find. The instructors were nice. Even though the six month+ class is about getting babies used to the water, they would also make suggestions and sing songs.

    If not the PC, maybe try Clippard?  We don't belong to the Y (have a neighborhood pool), but have visited Clippard and been impressed.  I don't have experience with the lessons.  I know our area high school offers swim lessons for children...that is where I'll sign DS up.

    My oldest has had swim lessons at our Y for the past 3 years and we love it.  The instructors do a great job with the kids and my kid has learned a lot about how to swim and water safety.  We go to the Fort Thomas Y.

    where would i find info on swim lessons at the high school?  I want Alice to get used to the water now as she loves it.
