rp: out in heat?

I posted on 0-3 too
How long would you keep your 7 week old out in the heat?  I have the chance to go to a friend's pool today with DS#1's friend, but there is an air quality alert and it's going to be over 90. We won't be going til 3:00 pm when it's really hot. I am leaning toward not going....unless my mom can watch the baby.  What would you do?

Re: rp: out in heat?

  • We try to avoid being outside when it is really hot outside. But we did go over to a pool party the other day and it was pretty warm, we just kep LO in the shade and I brought her inside to cool off every 30ish minutes.

it's a development pool so no place to go inside. :(

Oh bummer.. in that case I'd probably cancel. But that is just me - my LO gets fussy in the heat and I get nervous as a FTM!

  • yeah we cancelled.....friend totally understands....ds#1 will go to my parents pool tonight instead.
  • He have LO out in the heat a lot, but always keep him in the shade.    We are at the pool at least twice a week, and he seems to enjoy it, or at least he isn't fussy and usually naps.  We live in the desert though so even when it's 110, it's a dry heat and not bad in the shade.
