I just want to scream!!!

Went to the doctor yesterday to find out that I am only 1 1/2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Baby is head down and ready to go so what is she waiting for. I am so over being pregnant. Good news I did have an ultra sound and she looks great with an estimated weight of 6 lbs and 11 oz. Doctor stripped my membranes but it didn't work with my first baby so i am not going to hold my breathe about it working this time either. Induction is still on for Tuesday. But it feels like forever away and work is dragging on...my last day is tomorrow. So if I can just make it through the next day and a half then I will be ok. Sorry just had to have a mini vent....

    I feel you!  I was checked Saturday and only a fingertip dialated.  I am heading into my appt in a few and I would be elated with 1 1/2!  I dont even think they will strip my membranes unless I have progressed past a "fingertip".

    I feel like I could have written this post, even down to the fact that, at my last appointment, my dilation & effacement numbers were the exact same as yours. That was 6 days ago. You're a week further along than me, though, so I REALLY feel for you. I have another appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if anything has changed. I'm gonna have the membrane stripping thing done tomorrow, I think. It sounds painful. How was it?

    It wasn't to bad. I just hate having it done because I feel a little crampy afterwards but it goes away. Like this morning I don't feel any different. It is just very uncomfortable.
