I took DD2 at around 18 months, but only because I wanted her bangs cut and was afraid to do it on my own! I've only trimmed DD1's twice, starting at age 2.

first hair cut she was 2.5 years old. she has long hair, no bangs and it wasnt stringy looking but it needed to be shaped up.

I took her to have bangs cut and a trim at around 21 months. Now I take her maybe every 3-4 months to get the bangs cut because I did them once myself really badly and decided I wouldn't subject her to that again.

I still haven't had a professional cut. It took forever for DD's hair to grow so i've just been trimming/shaping it myself...

I took DD when she was around 18 months old to get her hair shaped, but then didn't take her back until after she was 2. We cut it short in the winter and none of us liked it, so she's growing it back out and we'll leave it be for awhile. She has lovely thick hair and no bangs, so the need doesn't arise very often.

We're actually going to do DD's first haircut this summer!

She was bald until she was 2, so this hair has been a long time coming. It's about shoulder-length and curly. If I wash it, it's about an inch to an inch and a half below her shoulders. Right now it just needs a little more style than what it has, so we have plans for that first haircut very soon. She's 4 1/2 years old.

I started cutting it on my own at 9 months. The first time came out okay, but when I tried again a couple of months later, I screwed it up and cut too short, and she looked ridiculous.

I told DH unless he wanted to do it himself, I was taking her to a salon from then on. And I have. We usually take her to the closest Fantastic Sam's for a trim (or just a bang trim) around every 6-8 weeks.

The last time, we took DD2 with us and got her hair neatened up as well. She was 14 months, but her hair has been easier to tame than DD1's was at that age!

DD had her 1st haircut at 18 months old. It was more of a trim to make things look even. Her hair didn't really start coming in till she turned 2.

I took DD to the Salon for her first hair cut when she was just over 2 years old. She just needed her hair evened out. It was looking a little wild. Very cute experience. We took pics, she wore a cape, sat on my lap, had a sucker. It was nice. She now calls the hairdresser the hair doctor.
