Ok so I have a friend who loves the name Kimper for a boy. I don't have the heart to tell her it is awuful! Am I wrong for thinking it's awful? It is weird right? What are your thoughts?

I don't think it's your place to come out with your opinion on it. If she asks you, I think a simple "it's not my style, and it's certainly unique" would suffice. She clearly had 9 months to think about it and decided it's the most amazing name ever - it's unlikely your opinion would matter now anyway.

Although I've actually met a guy named Kimper...I am not a fan at all!! However, I don't think you should say anything unless she asks for your opinion then you can but do it nicely
I know someone who has a son named Kemper, which isn't my style, but I can live with that. Spelling it "Kimper" just drains what little masculinity was there right out of it! Yuk!
Aren't Kipper Snacks like Sardines? Am I imagining this? When I hear the name Kimper I will automatically think of small salty slimy fish in a can... or a Camper. Neither is a good connotation.
Re: Friends Name for a boy???
Blech, definitely not a good name.
