AW: Today my boy is 1!!

Today was my son's birthday....amazing how time flies. I've had an emotional week leading up to his birthday, but today it has been nothing but joy. I thought about where we were during certain times of the day and I just thought "wow! he has come far...thank you God!" That is a great improvement because for the past couple days leading up to his birthday certain thoughts would lead me to wanting to hide under the covers and cry. I think today I had a break through.

It was a great day! Today I baked him a cake so we could just celebrate with just the 3 of us. On Saturday we're having his birthday party -- superhero theme!

Thank you ladies for helping me through this year.

Yay! Happy birthday to your amazing miracle boy! A super hero theme couldn't be more perfect! I'm so glad you had an amazing day too - I think your attitude is a great one - look how far he's come! I remember going through so many stages of this scary and uncertain journey with you this past year - HUGE props for being a great example of a loving micro preemie parent!!
