grooming issues

Like the post below I seem to be experiencing more difficulty these days trying to keep the southern region groomed.  Luckily I haven't cut myself yet, but soon enough I am sure!  I have never gotten a bikini wax...scared to do it but thinking just might be easier.  Does it hurt?  How do they do it...do you wear underwear or put a towel there?  Don't want someone all up in my business :)

    1.) Yes it hurts like hell. I got bikini waxes prior to being pg, and it wasn't bad. Now, I'm guessing because of increased blood flow to the pubic region, it is a exercise in torture. I am letting things go down there because I can't see anything & the last time I got waxed was a nightmare.

    2.) You go au naturel, they do it in strips or one big strip (depending on your situation). I wouldn't worry about it. Come labor time you are going to have tons of people "up in your business" so it might be a good trial time lol.

    Its up to you if you want to give it a shot. Just make sure that the place is clean, reputable & remember no sexy time for 72 hours afterward to avoid infection!

    I had been getting mine lasered until they put me on bed rest (I'm off bed rest now) and I will wait till lo arrives to go back b/c it's really uncomfortable.  I just have dh shave me down there.

    No experience with waxing - i'm a little scared to go there, but DH got me a Panasonic electric groomer, that I can use in the shower.  Chance of cutting myself is really low, so I feel better using it.  But of course now I can't really see down there too well.  DH has been helping me out, which has actually been fun!

    I had a wax in my wedding salon package.  It wasn't a Brazilian wax, but she did the sides and the top.  It didn't hurt me at all (again, it wasn't a Brazilian wax!  I'm not that brave!)  I was pleased with it.  She gave me special undies to wear for it.

    Sides and top is a bikini wax (you will still have hair on the lips, in front, and in the undercarriage), all off is a brazillian.  I do brazillians, I don't find them to be that bad, but I've been doing them for years.  A regular bikini wax shouldn't hurt at all, and if you're nervous, take 2 tylenol beforehand.  Also, you keep your underwear on for a regular bikini wax.

    Maybe I'm experienced, careful, or I use the right razor...  But I can shave my vaj without looking.  Go me!  :)  For the record, I use a men's Mach 3 razor. 

    I'm not saying it's perfect and probably doesn't look too pretty, but it's shaved enough to be comfortable.

    I've been doing the same thing, but I just use cheap Bic Twin Lady disposable razors.  Best razors I've ever used.

    Im with you, I can barely see my parts but I Can pretty much do it without looking. I am not saying that its going to look professional but it works and keeps me happy. Guess Im just a pro in that area. Not to say I haven't cut myself in the past but usually due to the razer dulling on me. I will get the hubby to do it in my ninth month if  I have any problems reaching around the belly.

    I had a bikini wax for the first time about 2 months ago. I heard it can hurt alot more when you're pregnant, but the pain was tolerable. I'd say the worst part for me was how bad my area broke out afterwards in tiny white pimples. It was disgusting. Apparently there is a cream that you can use to prevent this that you can buy at drug stores, but I dont know what its called. At any rate, that will be my one and only bikini wax ever. Not worth it to me!
