bedrest with a 9 month old

I just came home from the hospital, I was there 4 days and was diagnosed with mild pre-e. I got put on modified bedrest. DD doesnt like to be held a lot, so I'm hoping it wont be too hard. The ob told me I can be do most activities, but just rest a lot. I was on bedrest with dd too. Anybody been on bedrest with a kid to take care of? Luckily, I have family nearby that I can count on to help around the house.

    Yup... a walking, very curious 10 1/2 month old! What saved me where my husband, my mom, and my MIL when she came into town. It was hard to just lay there and have them do everything, but I just kept reminding myself that I am doing this for my baby and that that's the way things went this time!

    Good luck! You'll be fine :) (oh, and I suggest you check out the High Risk pregnancy forum. Lotsa mamas on bedrest there!)

    I did modified bedrest with somewhat older kids (18 mo, 4).  We had gates up so we could stay mostly in the living room.  I would lay on the floor and play/rest/read.  We had diapers there to change.  We would watch more TV than usual.  It went not too badly.  Good luck!!
