Very Different visions

Just a random share, but I'm getting the impression the H and I have very different visions when it comes to TTC. I think he's picturing us making love at midnight in the dunes of the cape and ::poof:: baby. Meanwhile, I'm preparing for battle: charting, temping, just bought evening prim rose...Of course I hope his vision is closer to reality. I think his perception is skewed as his mom conceived on the first try for all 3 of her children.

    That would be great if it happened for everyone they way your husband thinks it does!

    I try to explain all this TTC stuff to my DH, he just tells me to let him know when I need him for his part! lol

    I think most men who have not been ttc for a while have a skewed view...

    Don't worry, my DH was the same way. He thought I was crazy for doing all I do.  Just a word of caution, EPO is a hit or miss. Some ladies get lucky with that stuff, but it didn't help me. I got less fertile CM, and it screwed up my cycles.

    Wouldn't it be nice if it was always that easy?! Hopefully your journey is much closer to what your hubby thinking is much closer to what you'll experience, but as you seem to understand is that is not always the case. Here's hoping that the dunes  will do it for ya though Stick out tongue. GL to you!!

    I think this is typical of both couples.  DH doesn't get why I track my cycle.  He insists it'll just happen.  I got KU with DD the first month we TTC, so he thinks that it's just that easy.

    MH is exactly the same way.  You should have seen his face when he found out that there's only 1 egg per month and a limited "window of opportunity!!"

    MH is the same way.  We just watched the Great Sperm Race (name?) and he seems to get it a little bit more now.  He was in shock when he found out that there was a tiny window of opportunity each month.

    hahah! This is great and reminds me a lot of the differences between me and my H. If we get a BFN this cycle, DH will be watching The Great Sperm Race AND the tutorials on FF. He gets one cycle of ignorant bliss, but after that it's straight business.

    Yup...my dh went through this phase too. He was so sure I would be pregnant the first month. Not so much! Best of luck!

    DH has watched the great sperm race (which is a great documentary btw, highly recommend watching it) so I think he gets it. He's still hoping that he has soldier sperm and will get it first try when we start TTC but he knows the window is small.

     Definitely have him watch the great sperm race Wink
