17 wks and still on stomach?

Am I the only one who can still lay on my stomach?  I feel a definite firm bulge in my abdomen (when laying down), but it's not necessarily uncomfortable.  I am a larger girl, with no noticible bump yet.  Maybe I just have more cushion than most??  HB is going strong, so I know it's not that the baby has stopped growing.

  • I can, flamingo-style, but not straight-out flat. And in the past week, it's gotten more comfortable to use the body pillow to raise up one hip (I throw one leg over it).

  • I never liked laying on my stomach but I tried to the other night to watch tv and found it to be very uncomfortable.

  • I can.  I don't even feel the firm bulge everyone talks about, but there are definitely 2 babies in there.  I was starting to worry I was the only one.

Same for me. I'm more half on my side/half on my stomach though I think.

Exactly this... I put a normal pillow half under my tummy/boobs though. It's the only way I can sleep right now.

  • I still sleep on my stomach! The only thing that hurts is my boobs somtimes because they are sensitive but once I am in position I pass out and am a heavy sleeper and usually wake up in the same position. The doctor said to not worry about it until 22 weeks and then my left side, but she said by then my stomach will no longer be comfy.

  • I can still sleep on my stomach, but it's a little more comfy with a body pillow. This is my second baby, so I am surprised.. but we all carry differently! I am 17 weeks as well.

  • I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow and I'm on lying on my stomach right now as I'm typing this.  I, too, have some of my own extra cushioning though!

  • Yup, still on stomach. I am starting to really feel it though, so I dont stay on there all night. I wouldnt say it's uncomfortable, just noticeable.

  • I'm about 10lbs overweight and I can still lay on my stomach just fine.  I've also not gained a single pound but can't fit into any of my regular clothes anymore.

  • I can still comfortably sleep on my stomach without discomfort from any bulge. It's actually the only way I can sleep right now.

  • I am still on my stomach-it's the only way I can fall asleep. I slept on my stomach until 30 weeks with #1, but I always flipped in my sleep to a side. It never really bothered me to sleep on my belly and I had a pretty decent sized bump.

  • I am 19 weeks today and I still sleep on my stomach sometimes, but I hike up one leg on the side so I am not completely flat.

  • I can lay on my stomach, but usually I have a pillow under one of my legs or belly and I lay on my side.

I am a stomach sleeper but this were had to stop. I hate sleeping on my back or sides but am starting to get used to it! Needless to say, I am jealous.

  • I keep waking up on my stomach, flamingo-style, so apparently I can sleep that way! I'm 16 wks with a bit of a bump, but this still seems to be comfy for now.

  • I wish!  sleeping on my stomach has been uncomfortable since the beginning (my boobs hurt too much).  I love sleeping on my stomach and I miss it.  I've found that if I have a big pillow, I can position myself so that I'm kind of half on my stomach on the pillow and half on my side and that's pretty comfy.

    Enjoy it while you can!

  • I am a stomach sleeper and I am still able to sleep that way. Sometimes I do have to lift the one leg up a bit but I am going to enjoy every minute of it before I can't do it anymore.
  • I can't. It feels too weird, like I'm laying on a ball or something.
