How common is it to get sick right before baby is born? Ugh

So, my csection is the 19th for my 3rd baby.  I have 2 DD and this is a boy and I feel like I have been sick at least monthly!  I now have a bad head and chest cold and feel weak and absolutely miserable!  I just want this to be over!   How common is this to get sick right before baby?  I dont remember it with my girls.  I just am afraid he will be born and I will feel like crap!

    Well I had my C-section scheduled for this past November 18th and it was a girl.  I had a terrible cough and stuffiness just a week prior.  I remember going to the pharmacy just a few days before the surgery because I knew I had to get the cough under control.

    I have tried the OTC stuff and its NOT working.  I can feel the snot in my face!  I have an appt tomorrow so maybe she will prescribe something?!

    I hardly EVER get sick, maybe once a year if that but I got sick back in the winter and then my husband got sick about 3 weeks ago, of course I got it the week before my due date and was afraid I would go into labor with a cold as well. I definitely didnt get it as bad as he did but it seemed to linger on for what felt like forever.. we are finally just now over it. So maybe it happens to a lot of people??

    Agreed, I am sick as a dog.  Went to the dr. today and he said "bad ear infection" and put me on antibiotics.  The thought of going into labor when I feel this crappy horrifies me, but I also saw OB and I have made no progress since 37 weeks, so I don't think LO is going ANYWHERE anytime soon lol poor li'l guy doesn't want to mess with this sick momma :c)
