DD is going on 7 months and I feel like she is getting bored with all I have to offer. She has an exersaucer, jumperoo, play mat, bouncy seat, PnP and crib. If she is in the PnP or crib, I offer soft toys (so she doesn't knock herself out). I do read to her (but, when I have to get things done around the house, I can't do it all day). She doesn't like tv at all (tried different programs...just not into it yet). Any toy suggestions for an almost 7 month old? I'm running out of ideas. =/
Re: Entertainment for LO?
Hmmm.... DS doesn't have an exersaucer or jumperoo. We only use his bouncy seat when he's getting a bottle or watching Baby Signing Time (LOVES those DVDs but we only do one/day, usually when I'm making dinner). He loves his play mat (it's an IKEA Leka playmat, lots of busy things on it to do). He rolls around a lot and grabs for everything. He's pretty easy to entertain, though--give him a piece of paper, a ball, bubble wrap, etc. and he'll just play around with it for a good while. Heck, hand him a washcloth and he's content to rub it all over himself, wave it, etc.
Let's see, trying to think of daycare toys...
How about a stacker? Stacking rings? Stacking cups? DS loves those.
He adores a box of different-textured fabrics.
This toy is something that he enjoys for a while.
How about some mini music items like shakers, maracas, etc.?
Same thing here, we go for a walk every morning and try to do at least one other thing during the day. Even changing rooms, doing the same thing in a different place.

ooh...I also have a swing for her, but she is just ok with it...and forget the RnP...she wants nothing to do with it for months now. =/
She doesn't sit up on her own just yet (almost there), so stacking things won't work to entertain herself...unless I play with her. We do have blocks that she loves, but of course I have to play with them with her.
Does anyone have a walker for their LO? I'm thinking she would love one due to the fact that she loves jumping like a wild girl in her jumperoo.
ETA: I also try to take her for a walk everyday, but if I don't get out first thing in the morning, it's just WAY too hot come mid day. =/
DD loves musical toys with lots of buttons - like the Vtech and Leapfrog ones. MIL gets them all used at garage sales for less than a dollar apiece. Right now, DD's faves are the Leapfrog "Alphabet Pal" caterpillar thingy and a Vtech laptop.
Other than these, she's mainly into stuffed animals and her binky, lol (she holds it out and gazes in awe at it, then talks to it, lol).
As for gear she plays in, we are pretty much just using her jumperoo these days. She's usually just hanging out with me on the couch to play or rolling around on the floor (her favorite place).
Amelia's crawling and pulling up now, so she's into EVERYTHING!
I've noticed lately though that she loves to play with almost anything that isn't a baby toy:
Dog ball (lol);
a water bottle. I'll squeeze a little air out of it and leave a little bit of water so that it's not too heavy, but she can make the water splash and crunch the bottle; I also made a colorful one for her with half oil and half red food coloring water. I sealed the top with a bit of super glue (very little) and let it dry before giving it to her, just to be safe;
a diaper;
and an empty cereal box, just to name a few.
She's also really into a little waterproof soft book that she has (I think they call it a bubble book) and anything that makes a chiming noise.
Good luck!
Same here- she is not big on actual toys that I spend money on. Her latest favorites are:
The bulb I use to clean out her throat, nose, etc., a small plastic tape measure, a plastic bowl, a spoon that a friend bent from Outback so she can't choke on it, water bottle, nipple cover to bottle, etc.
But we did get a walker recently. She did pretty good in it, but seemed more interested in the toys on top than moving around- for now, anyway.
