Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Alimentum past users or on it now

My LO is six months and he is on alimentum right now but since his tummy is so much better i am gonna switch him to another formula in about a month. what formula did you use after alimentum and is he doing good on it. i am undecided on which formula to try after alimentum and i am really hoping his tummy agrees.

Re: Alimentum past users or on it now

  • We are still on and will stay on Alimentum for awhile longer, but I've heard of people having success on Similac Sensitive. That might be an easy transition.

  • We use allimentum now.  What type of tummy trouble was your LO having?  Mine had bloody poop.  I would love to switch but I'm afraid.

  • We never went off Alimentum, just went to milk at 13 months with DD.

DS is still on alimentum with no plans to move off it.

  • I have an open can- opened at the dr's office and never used, and an unopened can that anyone can have if they pay for shipping. my DD is ebf. it was given to us by her pedi GI dr when he thought she was lactose sensitive. PM me if you want it.

  • My DS is was on Alimentum. We just switched to Good Start Protect. It has whey proteins that make it easier for babies to digest. He's been on it for a few weeks now and seems to be doing ok on it.

my LO was on it cause of bad colic and gas. he never had diarrhea or vomiting. his colic and gas has pretty much gone away. they never told me he had allerfies so thats why i want to switch him in about a month cause i think alimentum is not needed anymore. i have an appt with doctor next week and hoping she says its ok to switch him. i was thinking of trying similac sensitive, goodstart or soy. thank you
