  I took 80mg of Prozac and 4mg of Klonopin my entire pregnancy.  During the last month I weaned down on the Klonopin to .75mg/day before the baby was born.  He was born at 36 weeks via emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsyia and HELLP syndrome.  The baby was perfectly fine, no withdrawels from the medications, and has been a wonderful, fun, happy little guy.  He's almost 5 months and is such a joy.

   I worked with both my psychiatrist and OB and they together felt it best for me to stay on my medication while pregnant.  Felt it better for me to be stable than to end up in a hospital with the "crazies."  If you can find two docs like that that will work with each other, that is your best bet.

  I was taking 20mg of prozac and stopped as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I started taking it again when I was 30 weeks pregnant and continued taking it after my DD was born.  I also BF my DD for 12 months, while taking the 20mg of prozac.  She is now completely weaned and showed no signs of withdrawal or side effects.  GL!

  I posted a similar question a few days again under 2nd trimester- Meds during pregancy.There were many helpful responses. I too had 2 m/c is Sept. and had to go on antidepressants also. Crazy how the hormone fluxuation can really screw you up. Iam currently on 10 mg of Prozac, but some days I feel like the dose isn't right. If you want to talk I'm around as I would love to hear more about your story as it is so similiar to mine. shanlees@aol.com  

  Oh and I went off the antidepressant when I found out I was pregnant and I couldn't handle it. I've spoken with 3 different OBs who are all ok with me being on it.
