I can't decide if I want to do my own scrapbook of baby's first year, or if I want to buy a book (mabye from etsy) that is already put together you just have to add the info. What are you doing?
sort of both? I have a baby book for ds and I did a photo book on kodak and took portions from our family blog for the first year. I broke it down by month and included our favorite pictures and his milestones. I already have the premade baby book for ds2 and will do another 1st year photo book for him.

I've already been scrapbooking my pregnancy journal, and will scrapbook baby's first year too. I've started on a few of the pages already, and am planning to have most of the milestone pages at least planned by the time baby arrives (if not laid out with spaces for journaling and photos). We also have a traditional "baby book" but it was a gift and just like our wedding books, we'll fill it in, but scrapbooking is my #1 hobby--so I can't imagine not doing it for the baby.
I registered for a cute pre-made book, and will buy it (or another) if I don't recieve it at a shower. I love the idea of just doing my own scrapbook, but I don't think it would get done. I'm more likely to fill in a book that already has a nice layout and guidelines.

I have a baby book that covers the basics (pregnancy, showers, labor, current events, etc.) It also has some blank space for "firsts."
Every time I do something on my own I am always disappointed with the final product. I'm just not skilled enough and I feel like it ends up looking like a bad home ec project.
As for the "firsts" and stuff, I'm hoping to do something like thefannins said. I want to use snapfish or something similar to make a book with pictures, some descriptions, etc. It might end up being something I do for the first few years . . .

Both. I already scrapbook, so I'll do one for each of the girls, plus our family scrapbook. I also have pre-made baby books for each so I can fill in milestones as they happen. They'll be good keepsakes and a good reference for when I finally get time to work on the scrapbooks.

I'm doing a pre-made scrapbook. DH and I didn't like the baby books that much and found a scrapbook with easy layouts and decorations already that all I have to do is add the pictures.
I would love to scrapbook, but I have never been able to start .
I'm leaning more towards making my own scrapbook, but I think i'm struggling with what to put in it. I'll probably also do a baby book and fill out general milestones, but I definitely need a plan for the scrapbook. Maybe do a page or so for every month? Starting with ultrasounds and shower and stuff? I'm thinking the scrapbook will be more pictures, where the baby book will be more hand written things. I'm finding that the scrapbooking thing is realxing, so i'm excited to get it started. Especially because the thought of be able to sit in one spot for a couple hourse sounds amazing right now at 30 weeks pregnant!!!
Scrapbook - though I'm nervous about it. I've wanted to get into scrapbooking for a while, and even got a Cricut for Christmas, but I haven't even opened the box yet. However, I went to Joanne's Fabric's yesterday looking for nursery fabrics, and the scrapbooking stuff was all 40% off! I think I might purchase a cheap premade baby book to help give me ideas for what to put in the scrapbook, and maybe even incorporate the pages themselves if they'll work.

Well I bought paper and supplies back at 12 weeks and I have yet to scrapbook a single thing. I planned to make a bunch of pre-designed layouts so that all I would need to do is add pictures after he is here. We'll see how these efforts go during the last Tri.
I still haven't gotten around to scrapbooking our wedding photos...and that was 6.5 years ago! I went with a pre-made book for DS, and will do the same this time.
I also make photo books on Shutterfly occasionally. That's as close as I get to scrapbooking.
Re: will you be scrapbooking or buying a pre made baby book?
We'll always remember our angel baby: BFP 9/24/10, M/C 10/23/10 8w4d

I'm super crafty - but someone bought us this as a gift and I love it... so I think i'm off the hook in the scrapbooking department: https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/nordstrom-layette-baby-journal/2857863

premade. I know I will not have time to do a scrapbook as much as I would love to though.
