I had to kill an hour after LO's eyes were dilated, so we went to Wegmans for lunch. I ran into the bathroom first. I set him on the floor in the stall and sat down...only to notice that he was missing one shoe and his bare foot was touching the bathroom floor. Ewww!
We ate lunch and then I asked at customer service if anyone had turned in a toddler shoe. She said yes...and held up a little girl's shoe that someone else lost. I just bought them on Saturday too!

Re: arg...lost a shoe today
Evan has lost many shoes... especially when he was younger and always pulled them off.
Did you check near your car? I have accidentally pulled off Evan's shoe while getting him out of the carseat. A lot of times it's right under/next to the car, or even on the floor by his seat.
I watched all the way back across the parking lot and checked in and around the car. But, it was a black shoe, so it may have blended in with the parking lot.
I guess I'll call later this afternoon to see if anyone turned it in.
Yeah, definitley call back later.. Once at Walmart when I thought i'd lost a shoe (ended up being in my car) they actaully took my name and phone number and said they'd call if it got turned in.. One of the few good walmart customer service stories I have.
The only place we actually LOST a shoe (never to be found again) was at the craft show at Letchworth. Just packed with people and I'd walked quite a ways and there was just no way I was going to even attempt to look for it.. This is why I don't buy expensive shoes for the kids!
