Glucose Tolerance Testing

Just had my glucose testing today . . . the drink was not as bad as I expected (it helped that it was chilled!).  I did get a "crash" after it and would definately choose to pick a day where I could take a long nap following it - i had to go to work after.  Definitely not used to that much sugar.  Also, bring someone along with you or something to read as you have to wait for 2 hours for a total of 3 blood draws!

    I had mine yesterday at the end of the work day and definitely crashed afterwards, too. As soon as I got home, I took a (3 hour) nap.

    Luckily, they let me take the drink right before my regular appointment, so the wait wasn't as bad once I had it.
