Crib bedding: Is this better for girl or boy??

So I love this crib bedding... although a bit pricey.. actually i have no idea how much bedding is but it seems pricey. We are having the nursery be a shared room with the guest bedroom and the colors in there right now are black and white damask with aqua accents. I came across this bedding:

I thought it would match PERFECT with the room and its super cute and my style. I dont know the sex  yet but i was hoping it be gender neutral. what is your opinion? better for a girl or boy or both? The colors are boyish but the style is girlish.. im so confused! thanks

  • Cute! i think it could go either way. You can always accent it with boy or girl things once you know the sex, but I think it could go either way.

Im confused by the splash of color too. IMO I think it would have been cuter without the bright blue but to answer your question I am going to say girl..I think?

  • The real question: How easy is it to put on/take off in the middle of the night after baby bottoms out a diaper or upchucks all over it...  In the middle of the night..

Go ahead and get the cute one that you like - but honestly, the cheap "Toddler Bed Sheets" are the easiest to change and end up being used the longest especially with a convertible crib...

  • The colors work for either a girl or boy, but I'd say it's more girly because of the ruffles.

  • I think it looks girly. The ruffles and pattern do not suit a boy in my opinion.

  • In my opinion it looks very girly! Even with the little bit of blue that is in it, I would think the set was meant for a girl!

  • Damask and ruffles are ALL girl - nothing boyish (or even gender-neutral) about that bedding at all, blue or not!

  • I think the ruffles and damask are girly.  I think polka dots and stripes in black and white with the aqua accents would be very neutral and compliment your room.
  • I think it says more girl based on the pattern and the frills but the colors could go either way.  Most places on etsy that do crib bedding will customize something for you.

I think boy. Despite the frills - it's blue.
Speaking of the blue.. I think it ruins the bedding. It'd be better if it was a yellow or just brown with everything else.

FWIW. I would never spend this much on CRIB bedding. Like a PP said. When the baby is new, it will spit up, throw up, poop all over the sheets. Once it get's bigger, it will pull on the bumper and make it all crazy.. in my experience :)

  • It is gender neutral enough I think... my favorite colors are blue and purple so I would have loved that as a little kid.  Get it, especially if it matches your guest room and do like PP's said; accent with boy or girl colors.

I liked the blue touch personally as it matches really well with the small accents of blue in the room. Ive decided to use this for a girl but look around as your right its expensive. If its a boy i will just have to redecorate the room
