Recommend a favorite Tahoe spot
Where, both location and cabins/hotels, etc?
We are just looking to get away for a couple of nights, so we don't need a home to rent or anything big or fancy. TIA!

I love the North Shore, it is much less commercialized than the South Shore and very family friendly.
I would recommend staying somewhere in Kings Beach (Ferrari's Crown Resort is a nice place), Tahoe City or Incline Village (there is a Hyatt in Incline that has both hotel rooms and cabin type rooms).
