What does your LO sleep in?

Long sleeve pajamas? Onsie? Blanket or no blanket?

Re: What does your LO sleep in?

  • Either a 1pc long sleeve footless pjs; 2 piece short sleeve & pants pjs: or sometimes just a onesie. We do put a blanket on him but he rolls around so much it usually comes off. If I awake in middle of night I will check on him & recover him if need be.

  • I have been putting her to bed in a short sleeve onsie and then putting a blanket on her if it is cooler when I go to bed.  Sometimes I put pants on her and occasionally a long sleeve footed pajama if it is cooler.  It changes every day right now.
  • onesie and a blanket. pants if the A/C is turned up a bunch. I just bought her pajamas, I'm going to try to get in a routine of putting them on at bedtime.

Pajamas, some are long sleeved and some are short sleeved and some have pants and others have shorts. He has a blanket, but we only started that a couple weeks ago.
  • He usually sleeps in the shorty romper that he wore that day because he hates having his clothes changed and I don't want to rock the boat at bedtime. I just change his diaper right before bed. If it is really dirty or he happens to take a bath at bedtime, I will put him in shorty pajamas or a onesie. I've tried a blanket a few times, but he kicks it right off. His room doesn't get too chilly from the a/c, but if it was colder, I would put him in long footless pjs. When we go to visit in-laws, I put him in footie pjs because they keep their house like a meat locker in the summer.

When he was littler, I stressed A LOT about whether he was too warm or cold during the night.

  • Short sleeve pajamas with pants and a blanket.
  • We had to keep the girls really warm for their first couple of months because they were preemies, but for their age now I read that you don't want them too hot at night. Now I fret over how they sleep.. don't want them to get cold but I don't want them sweating at night either..
  • A onesie and a light blanket! It's been so damn hot here she sweats in anything long sleeve or that has pants!
  • I fret a little bit about whether our LO gets too hot or cold at night... DH likes to keep the house fairly cool, so I always have DD in long sleeve footed pajamas.  I make sure to do lightweight cotton in the summer, and will do fleece in the fall.  When it was cooler I also used a sleepsack.  Now I put a blanket in there with her but she always kicks it off anyway.

  • Since it's so hot right now, just a onesie, no blanket. Usually I'll put him in a shirt and pants pajama set, and cover him with a blanket. It depends on the weather really.

DS wears just a diaper.  It's been really hot here lately, and his room doesn't cool down as well as the others.  He's also warm by nature, and he's been resisting any sort of clothes (even his diaper) lately, so I just let him sleep with just the diaper at night.  I've offered a light muslin blanket, but he hates having anything on him when he's sleeping.  When it starts cooling down, I'll start making him wear some PJs.  I'll start with just a t-shirt, then add the pants, then during winter I'll let him wear long sleeves if it's really chilly.   Hopefully by then he'll be using a blanket too.

Even I have been sleeping in just shorts and a light tank.  I can't even keep a sheet on me at night, and we keep the AC on about 72 at night, which means DS's room is probably 76 or so (I sleep in there most nights).

  • L/S onesie, flannel 2 piece pyjamas, merino sleep sack and sometimes a thin merino blanket and a light duvet. It's winter here and our rental house has crap insulation. It's getting down to -6C overnight at the moment. We keep the heater going overnight but I'd rather be sure he's warm enough with a few layers.

  • Either a tank top or a t-shirt depending on how it feels in the room with a thin blanket which usually gets kicked off an hour or so later. Not sure why I still even bother with it.

  • Long sleeve footed pj. In the beginning that was a big help in getting him to differentiate between night/day. He only wears footies to bed. Not sure what we will do next. 12 mo clothes seem to have limited footies. Def no blankets though. He moves too much and it would just get bunched up in a corner.
  • Childrens Place has footie pjs up to 24mos. They have both lightweight ones and fleece ones. We love them!

Usually a onesie and lightweight pants.  If it's cold I have some footie pajamas.  He sleeps with a blanket every night but it's more a lovey to cuddle with than for warmth.
  • When we're at home and the a/c is on in his room, he sleeps in PJs. Here, in the sweltering backwoods of Ontario, he starts the night in his diaper and ends up in PJs and sometimes a sleep sack before morning.
  • 2 piece pajamas -- either short sleeves/pants or short sleeves/shorts. No blanket.

  • Usually 2 piece short sleeved shirt with shorts.  The kind of Gap and Old Navy are awesome.  Lastnight he slept in just shorts though.  He has his lovie in there with him, no blanket.

  • If she's in her crib she's in footed pjs since we keep our a/c cranked up. If she's sleeping with us (when she's sick) she's in her diaper and sometimes diaper with a shirt.

Lately, a diaper with a blanket that she doesn't even keep on her. It's been really hot here the last few nights.

  • Either a pj set that's a tee shirt and shorts or if it's warm, just his cloth diaper.  He always sleeps with a blanket for a couple months now, but not over him.  It's just to hug and snuggle.  He LOVES to snuggle up to a blanket, any blanket at all.

  • Either light weight footed jammies or 2 piece pants/long sleeve shirt jammies.

We keep the a/c on at night and he won't keep a blanket on, so it seems like the right combo.

  • Right now he is sleeping in a onesie and a light blakent. During the winter/spring it was a sleeper and sleep sack.

  • 2 piece jammies (he's in 12 month size and it's hard to find one piece jammies in 12 month size around here) - some are long sleeved shirts and some are short sleeved.

He also gets a small afghan that he got when he was sent to the NICU.

Diaper with a blanket. G's a little space heater, and if he falls asleep with a onesie on, he wakes up sweaty even with the AC and a ceiling fan on. The joys of living in the South!

When it gets cooler, he'll sleep in onesies or PJs with a blanket. I think the blanket is more for snuggling than keeping warm, though.

onsie in the summer, l/s pjs in the winter. generally no blanket. He doesn't really use it properly because he rolls around too much.

  • Cotton long sleeve footed PJs with a zipper (he escapes from the popper PJs).  I also put him to bed with a blanket, but he usually falls asleep on top of it rather than under it.

We keep the house at about 68?, so it can get a bit chilly.

Since it's hot now she usually has a one piece suit that's got short sleeves and no feet. Blanket provided if she wants it.

  • Usually Hanna Andersson pjs and a sleepsack. We keep the house pretty chilly at night so I want to make sure he stays comfy.
