I did not follow the case that well, I could not stand to follow it closely because it broke my heart. From what I gather in my quick glances of the story. Last week they said they determined the baby drowned in the pool. There was some suicide note from someone that indicated this and that that person helped bury her after she drown. I knew when this information came out that she would probably get off because they could not provide without a doubt she did do it. I am not 100% on this, but someone else who followed more closely probably can explain.
It is such a sad story.

TTC for over 3 years. After several infertility treatments, we received our first BFP!!
It's a !ng outrage. Seriously...
That poor innocent beautiful baby will never be vindicated.
In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.
You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm awfully confused as to why she got away with it.
Because they proved beyond a reasonable doubt that she lied, but not that she committed murder.
The fact that they CAN'T explain how the baby died is probably a major part of why the jury didn't feel they could convict.
I hope she jumps of a flippin' bridge.

This. I mean, as completely disgusted and horrified as I am that she is getting away with murder I at least understand that they could not prove beyond reasonable doubt that she did it. However, if your child goes missing for a month and you do nothing (her original story) OR if your child drowns in a pool (complete BS IMO) under your supervision and you cover it up how is that NOT criminal neglect at least?

The judicial system didn't fail -- the state failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony murdered her daughter.
Actually, I'm quite pleased with the judicial system -- I'd rather have instances like this than live in a society where everyone is presumed guilty until proven innocent.
We have another O.J. Simpson, folks.
I'm sure she will be out and back to partying in no time. It makes me sick. The one good thing about it is that if she were found guilty, she would be relatively safe from the people in the world who want to see her dead. Now, she will be out. How long do you think she will last without that protection? Not long, I am assuming. Her best bet would be to move somewhere far far away from here.
