Strawberries...ideas?

We took DD strawberry picking today-didn't go so well, but we still brought home 4lbs of berries. Any ideas of what to do with them? DH isn't a huge fruit eater and I doubt DD and I can polish them off before they go bad. I used some in a dessert for today, but we still have a lot left!

strawberry champagne vinaigrette for strawberry spinach salad

strawberry lemonade

strawberry muffins

strawberry ice-cream

Plus I'd use them in smoothies, on cereal, pancakes, waffles etc.

ETA: If you put the berries in a single layer on a cookie sheet (cut them in half if they are large) and stick it in the freezer for a couple hours till they are firm... then throw them in a freezer bag and they are perfect for smoothies or frozen margaritas/daiquiris!

That is a bummer it didn't go well. I take the kids, I put in old clothes and rain boots. I also give them each a small bucket, like a sand/beach bucket to put their own berries in. Bri always leaves covered in red berry juice from head to toe, she eats WAY more than she brings me in her bucket. I never plan to stay more than 15-20 minutes a trip because they get bored when their bellies get full of berries :-) It also helps that the berry patch is within walking distance from our house.
