? re: Waldorf dolls

While checking out stuff on Spot's Corner, I noticed a Waldorf doll being resold for $195.  Now, I realize that Waldorf toys are usually handmade from natural materials, but what else would make a cute, floppy doll cost so much money?

(I know about Waldorf philosophy/curriculum in general, but this mystifies me, and I don't mean to offend any Waldorf families that may be here).

    I dunno about that brand but have you seen Bamboletta dolls?  They are amazing!  All the hair yarn is hand dyed, the clothes are sewn by ladies paid good wages, etc.  Everything is made from great materials and is hand done, so my guess is that this is probably true too for that kind...sounds reasonable enough based on time invested + materials to earn a reasonable profit.  I really want a Bambo but even if I could successfully stalk one the idea of paying $200 for a doll is just not happening for us.

    I am actually looking at less expensive ones for my DD. The are usually hand made with only the finest materials. (Wool and cotton) They take 10-15 hours on average to make. So I would imagine $30-50 in materials and $100+ in wages and then a bit of profit. 
    Mama to Z - 5.5 years, G - 3.5 years, & M - 1.5 years.

    That all makes sense to me, and seems pretty fair.  The dolls ARE really adorable and simple.
