Sleeping. Through. The. Night.

I'm talking 10 hours people.  For an entire week this kid has gone to bed at 8 PM and is not waking up until 6 AM.

I'm in heaven. Up at 6, nap from 8-11 nap from 3-5 and bed at 8.  I can totally work with this. Yes

By the way, miss you betches ... my laptop went all blue screen of death on me, so I'm having to post from my iphone most of the time and that's a pain in the arse with the HTML formatting so I kind of just lurk.

    I mean... congrats.

If it makes you feel any better, he wakes up screaming bloody murder.  I don't even know WTF to do about it. His eyes open and he shrieks like someone is shoving needles through his eyeballs.

  • That's awesome!

We have some good nights, but nothing that good, or for that many days in a row!

  • wow. I thought just getting up at 3am was success. One of my books says that 6 hours of sleep in a row is considered STTN.

Then LO has been sleeping through the night for a while. I don't consider STTN because I am not sleeping through the night. She goes to bed 10-11p and wakes up 4-5a. I am not happy with getting up that early so it's not STTN for me.

And thats awesome Erin!  I can't wait for that to happen.

  • okay, are you spiking lo's milk with nyquil?!?...come on, you can admit the truth.

lol, but seriously, can you please tell your secret to how you got such a consistent schedule going?!?  it's sounds wonderful....::big sigh::

We got 9 hours on Saturday and 7 hours on Sunday.

On Saturday night I woke up at 3AM, afraid to go check on her because I just knew she was dead......why else would she still be so quiet??

  • That is great!!  LO usually goes down to bed around 11:30  and sleeps tll about 7 maybe even 8.  Although this morning she woke up at 5 to eat.  She has been doing this for a week.  Such a good feeling.  Now I just need to get her to go down earlier at night!

For the rest of you ladies,  hopefully you will be able to get LO to sleep soon.  It seemed to fall into place for me once LO reached 2 months.  Trust me, before taht it was he ll

  • I have no idea. This is just the schedule he put himself on. Keep in mind he is one of the oldest babies on the board who wasn't a preemie...so this is likely in everyones' near future.

I was excited because LO had one 3 hr stretch last night. I woke up and had to pump so I got an hour and a half hrs of sleep but that was a half hour more than I normally get.

  • Lucky you!  Violet slept almost 8 hours straight on Thursday night, but then we took her to visit DH's parents over the weekend and it totally threw her off.  I'm hoping she'll STTN when she recovers from the trip!

  • First off - good for you Erin!  That really is a fabulous and livable schedule :) I hope you get yourself a new laptop soon, been wondering where the he!! you had gone.

    As far as MY situation..

Emma slept for 6 hours last night.  We feed her at 11:30 and then she usually gets up around 3:30/4:00.  Well I woke up at 5:30, and first I assumed the moniter was off again (thanks DH for that last week), when it wasn't, I definately assumed she was dead.  I got so scared, I woke her up to feed her.  Should of let her keep going...

With exclusively pumping and being a breast reduction momma, I am so terrified of milk supply I don't think I would let myself STTN even if baby did, so I don't think I will get any type of good sleep for a couple more months :(

  • Holy cow-that's amazing!  I didn't realize that was even possible so early!  Hallelujah.  I am excited that we at least have a schedule.  4 hours, 2 hours, 4 hours.  Then we're up for the day.  I'm happy with that.  :)
  • awesome.  we are hitting 6-8 hour stretches now.  she sleeps better then my 22 mth old!

This. I feel happiness for you... in the tiniest section of my heart. The rest is occupied by my sleep deprived fuzziness and jealously festering rage.
