DD went through a period where she quit STTN (she was going 8 hours before). She also won't sleep in her crib (she sleeps in a PnP in our room at night). So I've started reading sleep books to find ways to get her to sleep better at night and to transition to her crib. One of the books I'm reading (The Sleep Lady) says that babies should get to a point where they're sleeping for 10 hours straight by around 6 months.
Right now, DD sleeps for a 7 or 8 hour stretch, eats quickly, then does another 4ish hour stretch. I was under the impression that this is STTN for a BF baby and I'm fine with the first stretch (I'd like the 2nd stretch to be a bit longer b/c it's sometimes only 2.5 hrs and I think she's still tired but won't nap).
Do other BF babies sleep for 10 hours straight? If yours did, at what point did it happen? Does this only happen if you actively night weaned (I don't want to do this)?
Re: STTN for 10 hours?
My LO has never slept 10 straight hours, or 8 for that matter.
As long as you are both well rested, I wouldn't worry.
