I've been trying to clip Andrew's toenails since a couple of them are curling in and I don't want them to hurt his toes. He has really long toes and keeps curling them up so it's impossible to get to his nails. I guess he likes them long
I also clip toe nails when DS is napping. I have had to clip has already. I have just started getting brave enough to clip his fingernails. So far no mishaps and not cuts.
DH and I are both podiatrists, so you'd think we could cut Dean's toenails but I have been putting it off because I'm too afraid. He never stops kicking his legs and I'm afraid of hurting him!

So far, only his big toes have needed it. I found it's easier if I prop him up on me facing the same way I'm facing. If I prop him up facing me, it makes him more wiggly...
Her fingernails are seriously my biggest mothering fail. I cannot keep up with them, and I hate taking care of them because SHE hates me taking care of them.
I dread the whole experience. Thank heavens baths are going better, I was getting ready to just give up and send her to a day spa or something.
I do fingernails when DD falls asleep on me after breastfeeding. Toenails are a bit trickier. I've been lucky in that most of DD's toenails seem to peel off easily (which is how our pedi recommended doing them). I have only had to cut the big toenails once so far. I feel like I am cutting her fingernails every other day though!
