Bumbo seat

LilyBug has been pulling herself up wanting to sit upright. She actually gets upset sometimes when we lay her down. I'm thinking about getting the bumbo seat for her. The boppy isn't working anymore to prop her up. So we need something else. Anyone already using the bumbo seat or know someone that is? I'd like to get some input on it before purchasing it. TIA.

    We put DS in it sometimes but its not a regular thing. I wouldn't pay full price; instead I'd get one from a children's consignment shop and wipe it down. I always see Boppys when I go.

    My doctor doesn't think Bumbos are very good for babies (i.e., it holds baby in an unnatural position and is often misused by putting babies on raised surfaces where they can easily fall).  See: https://www.babygizmo.com/news/bumbo.php

    We have tried her in it and she likes it for a few minutes, which is pretty good at this age in terms of her attention span.

    I got ours at our shower, so I didn't pay for it, but I think I would have bought it on my own if we hadn't recieved it as a gift. She likes being able to sit up and look around.

    We got a hand-me-down one from my nephew and LO likes sit in it for a few minutes.  He is really starting to enjoy sitting up and looking around.  My nephew really enjoyed his for awhile.  I used to watch him and use it as a high chair while I fed him in the living room.

    A friend of mine swore by hers (so much so that her almost 2 year old still tries to squish into it!). We don't have one, and I refuse to pay full price for it. We just put together DS's high chair and sit him in there (it reclines pretty far back). I like it a lot, because he can "sit" at the dinner table with us.

    I love our Bumbo! It is really helping Zane sit up without letting him flop around if he gets tired.
