Tomato Plant Question - again

Sorry i was trying to post from my phone, and i was having issues. Any hoo! I got serious tomato's growing, and i don't know if i am supposed to wait till they get red or pick when large and green?

    Later in te season like September or October right before the rainy season you can pick them green and find some green tomato recipes (but they will be nasty tasting if you eat them plain green.)

  • Pick when red.  I think green ones are a different variety.

    As long as you planted a red variety, not an heirloom green version, you should pick them when they're good and red, and then use them right away (they start losing flavor when you have to refrigerate them).  If you pick them green, they will still ripen in a drawer, but they'll likely be more mealy than meaty (which is why grocery store tomatoes are never as good as homegrown).
