South Austin Restaurant Recs

I'm meeting my brother in South Austin- South Park Meadows area or further south, tomorrow for dinner.  Where can we go that is kid friendly and not too packed on a Friday night at 6pm but is still good.  Food type does not really matter, we all eat just about everything.  But, not somewhere too expensive.

    Waterloo Ice House (South Park)

    Green Mesquite (South Park)

    Serrano's (South Park)

    Galaxy Cafe (further west on Brodie) also Maudie's Hacienda and Brick Oven are in the same center.

    Southpark Meadows has a great playscape and splashpad with a TON of restaurants right there. In addition to MrsAJL's list, there's also Jason's Deli, Mama Fu's and Thai Passion in that area. Oh and an Amys too! I love Zorba's... MMmmmm.

    Everything already mentioned is great, and there are also some good chain restaurants if you like those too.  There is a Chili's, Texas Roadhouse, TGIFriday's, and Carino's.  :)
