I've seen people talk about their baby sleeping in the bottom of the pnp. Is my pnp made wrong or am I just over thinking this? The bars that criss-cross underneath the bottom are so hard and stick up through the little thin mattress. Even if Linus would sleep on them, it doesn't seem like it's safe to, no? Even with a blanket under the mattress you can feel them- and I don't know if I like making it softer to sleep on for safety.
Re: Isn't the bottom of your pnp uncomfortable?
DD sleept there at my ILs and seemed to like it fine. I'm looking at mine and the bars don't really seem to come up through the mattress - it's thin, but the mattress is pretty hard.
We have one of those quilted sheets on it (in monkey pattern! Because I'm a nerd like that) and that seems to make it a little more comfy. She doesn't seem to mind it.
