Winnie is finally sleeping in her room for part of the night. I have a white noise machine on and then have the audio monitor on in my room. every minute or so the monitor has a little bit of static a nice loud "Shhhht". It drives me CRAZY. I have yet to actually SLEEP while she is in her room.
Are there any monitors that..."get used to" the white noise, and then click on when baby makes more sharp noises? or am I sh*t outta luck?
Re: Baby Monitor + white noise?
that is strange, I use a Dex Sound machine with my Angelcare Monitor in DS's room with no problem.
Maybe you have the white noise machine too close to the monitor?
Our monitor doesn't do that either. It's just a Graco audio one. Like pp said, maybe the noise machine is too close or the volume needs to be turned down on it?
Congrats on getting W in her own room, that's fantastic!

Simon loves his sounds machine. Unfortunately none of the rest of us do! However, since our bedroom are in such close proximity (we are all three right in the back corner of the house) we've all just had to get used to it. Sucks, although I must say I hardly notice it now. But we started him in his crib at like 5 weeks old, heh heh.
Hahaha, ok it seems that the monitor I am looking for is the one we have!
We've had it for so long and unused that I don't have the manual anymore and didn't notice the "voice act" switch. Derrrrrrrrr
