Charles changed my life.
In my 20s, some would say I was on top of the world. I was a single, college educated woman in a powerful career making great money. I had a life some women dream of- expensive clothes, sports cars, fancy vacations and even arm candy men. I made the most of it too, and had some indescribable experiences.
However, I was never content. All I truly wanted was to be a mommy. I became envious of my friends with kids. I felt like my lifestyle only gave me an opportunity to date superficially and I may never have children. I considered single parenthood, but held off. The depression worsened.
Getting into my 30's I was committed to change it all. I took a job with less responsibility so I could focus on myself and my romantic relationships. The job didn't work out, but my focus didn't change.
About 2 years later, I met my true love who I went on to marry and we settled in. Before long, we were trying to get pregnant, and so we did.
Charles Anthony was born on May 1, 2011 and he is perfect. In fact, I would even say he saved my life. For now, I'm a SAHM, caring for him and supporting the household for my wonderful husband. I buy clothes at discount stores; I'm driving the last miles on the sports sedan I purchased in 2006; and vacation is not even in our vocabulary. I'm the envy of my 20s self.
As I sit here typing this, Charles is sleeping in my lap and I couldn't be happier to be here on this beautiful earth.

That is so beautiful. I think about things like this a lot. I wonder why we work all our lives just to pay bills and live in a nice home and drive nice vehicles. I think about what life is really about. Why waste your life away going to work, working to get a higher paying job which means more work, which means more time away from the family that you are trying so hard to support and give a good life. I don't think I could afford to quit my job because the health insurance is so good but these are things about life that I think about a lot.
I'm glad you found what you were looking for! Good luck!
