When I was at my friend's 10 year-old's birthday party the other day, two of my other friends who are new, first-time moms were there with their babies, and they said they read that babies "fake" cough to get attention. Like, how we might clear our throats, "Ahem" to get attention.
The one little girl is six months old, and she totally seemed to do it. If we were talking, she'd give a litle "cough" and we'd look at her, and she'd smile like it was a cute trick she'd learned.
Have you guys heard this or if you're a BTDT, do babies do this? Since I learned about it, I swear Liam does it once in a while. Like, sometimes I have him next to me on the Boppy on the couch, and he'll give a little cough, and I'll look over to see if he's okay, and he kicks his legs and squeals like, "Haha...Got you to look!"
Just wondering if I'm imagining this now that I heard about it...or if it's real.
