Food Allergy

Introduction

Thanks to ABColeslaw for letting us know you guys are here! A little background:

DD started screaming when she was 3 weeks old and didn't stop until she was 6 months-when we started formula. We went to a GI specialist and allergist, but neither were too concerned. The allergist did a skin test and said everything came back negative, but at DD's 9 month pedi appt, our regular doctor said he got the results and that she was slightly positive for wheat and corn.

We are trying new solid foods very slowly, in fact, we started solids at 5 months and she has probably only tried a dozen different foods. I'm looking forward to swapping some recipes and learning about what may be ailing her small tummy from ladies that have experience :)

Re: Introduction

  • Welcome Welcome.  Don't rely on those tests too much.  At this age symptoms diagnose over tests since they are so often giving false negs!  Follow your gut.  I'm glad your pedi is coming around.
