So like usual, we went to 7:45 Mass this morning and took Charlie to the nursery to play... he loves it. And since it's early, there are only a couple of kids there and they're the same ones every week... two brothers age 3 and 4 who are very well mannered. Plus today there was a 10 month old who is just starting to crawl. Lots of supervision and Charlie's always a pretty good little boy for them.
Until today.. The ladies said he kicked at and swung at one of the bigger boys and it was totally unprovoked. Charlie just came up and started pushing him around. And when the teacher pulled him away and sat him on her lap to "punish" him, he BIT her on the arm.
Then she says, apparently last week an older boy kinda scared Charlie with his rough playing and perhaps he's acting out because of that. (Different service so different teachers in that one) Not that anyone told us about that incident.. but at least they share notes with each other about the kids. And a couple of weeks ago at our playgroup, an older kid sat on Charlie and bit him and made him cry. (Right in front of me--couldn't stop it quick enough)
I hope to God it's just that he was cranky today and not a precursor of the Terrible Twos. I don't want him banned from the church nursery!!!
