Yep - someone removed me from the FB page. Oh well. I guess since I didn't suck up to the handful of people that are on there 24/7 I'm not wanted.

Well can't say I'm sad! There is enough drama on TB....FB is and should be drama free...create drama and get DAS BOOT!
I still don't understand why you would want to be a part of something you have stated that you don't like. Personally, if I don't like something I have a tendency to avoid it but that's just me.
Wasn't it supposed to be all the April Mamas FB group- but now legit April mamas are getting kicked off because they don't agree with the administrators of that page? LOL - such silly girls.
I'm happy to have you and the rest of the ladies back here where we can all be mature enough to agree to disagree.

I think you might have misread or misunderstood why people got booted. Yes, it is a group for all April ladies. But the problem was that the group jumped in membership after the drama. It was believed by a lot of people that bumpies joined the group just to see the drama. Like someone said on another post, lurking on TB and FB are two totally different things. On FB your personal information is all out there. I know I was one of the girls who was uncomfortable with the jump in membership and the lurking especially with the photo/info stealing that is going on with the 9 - 12 month board. I actually removed all my LO's photos from the FB group because of it. And people didn't get booted because they didnt like the admins. They got booted for not being an active member of the board. If you don't like the way the April FB board is being handled then get the group of girls you like and want to keep in touch wiht and start your own group!
Yeah, but I'm sure Kestock getting booted had little to do with how active or inactive she was - KWIM? She was a legit April mama who was with us for over a year and who regularly posted photos. C'mon. I get what you're saying but I'm not convinced that this is so black and white. Either way, I'm not a part of that group at all, so don't know the dynamics but I'm just calling 'em as I see 'em. And with that, I'm pretty much done with this subject.I just hate to see this type of stuff happening to a group of ladies that have been together for over a year, which is why I cared enough to pipe in and speak up.

Look FB lovers- it's a clique. That's cool if that's what you want. It is absolutely NOT an April 11 mommas group. If it was you wouldn't have kicked off legit April moms that have been here from the beginning. It is a clique where you decide who you do and do not want in. If that's what you want then fine, but don't try and kid yourselves. I would much prefer those who love FB to stay there instead.
That's funny, because I think TB is a hell of a lot my cliquey than FB. Here I didn't like to post because I rarely, if ever, got responses from anyone. Over there I can actually get feedback and feel like I'm welcome.
I am an admin on the FB page and I can assure you there has NEVER been a vote there as to who is "in" and who is "out". All April moms were/are welcome and the previous posters are correct in saying that it was over the security of personal info and the types of private things being discussed over there (sometimes much more personal than we went here) that people started getting removed.
Did it occur to anyone that this board is slow because people are busy taking care of their babies? The FB group has been around for 7-8 months...nobody was complaining about it back in the 3rd trimester.
95% of the women over there have stated that the rarely, if ever posted on TB. So I really doubt that you are missing them all that bad. Furthermore, they stated the reason they didn't post on TB was due to how nasty a lot of people were and they didn't want to get flamed for asking a question. Minus the one incident, the FB group is an incredibly supportive, caring group of women. I think some people need to look in the mirror before pointing fingers to who the Mean Girls are.
I couldn't agree more. And Kestock, I don't know how you got deleted, there was a little mishap with the search feature I guess. A lot of people got deleted that shouldn't have. I would gladly add you back if you'd like.

LOL. At first I was really pissed, like "Oh, she is not making fun of Sarah!" And then I saw the "L" is missing. Wow, that's embarrassing to the creator of the ticker.

Ok so my first comment was a tad snarky but your comment really rubbed me the wrong way. You admit to being a lurker on TB and on FB and you even admit to removing yourself off of FB, was this before or after the drama? I only ask because if it was before the drama and the massive boot happened then you don't know the whole story because you weren't there. As I've said before on FB people have very personal information on their profiles and don't feel comfortable with lurkers being able to access that info. I know that they can be proactive and change the settings but why be a lurker on FB and TB, I don't get it. If you aren't going to participate in a group on FB then why join? I would hope most, like you, would find that they get the same info on TB and remove themselves. And people were booted for not being active NOT for their opinions on things. And I will 100% raise my daughter to be careful on the internet and not to fully trust people she doesnt know. I would hope that you would teach your LO the same "rule" of the internet.
i dont post on here because the last time i did post something i asked if anyone elses babies were born polydactyl and someone posted and told me to look in the SPECIAL NEEDS CATAGORY! shame on them for thinking that if a baby is born with extra fingers that its special needs. i was not trying to be mean in any way i was just saying that we are all grown women and we all have something in common and that i think its extremely stupid that only certain people can be included. and if they are sooo concerned with lurkers than why even have a facebook? and no one should even have very personal info on facebook. i dont feel i should have to post on TB all the time. i like TB because i learn alot from the other moms that post questions and other moms that answer them, but i dont feel the need to have to explain myself any more than i have. i am done using TB now. during my whole pregnancy and up until now i found it a very very useful website and i thought it was great that all the moms that have babies born in april were able to have one place to place there concerns and questions. but now i feel like its stupid that i am getting questioned as to why i am NOT an active poster and am a *lurker*.
I wasnt questioning why you personally were a lurker. I understand why people lurk on TB, I am not an active poster on TB either. I was just questioning and trying to understand why people would join the off board group on FB when they weren't going to participate and not remove themselves like you did if they didn't like it. It just seems odd to me that people are complaining about how much they didn't like FB and all the stuff going on over there but then are upset when they were removed for one reason or another. And by personal information I was referring to the fact that on FB people were sharing more photos then on TB with each other and more info about LOs then they were on TB.
i honestly removed myself from the fb because i was sick all the alerts whenever people posted on it, haha. i wasnt trying to be mean in any way and im sorry if you took it that way. i just dont understand why people are getting removed off the FB even though they are april mommies, i thought thats what it was all about, all the april 2011 moms coming together and having other april 2011 moms to talk to. i know i have no say in anything seeing as how i never post, but for some reason this whole getting booted off really bothered me.
