My husband is a dope

He came home from work about 1 1/2 weeks ago and asked me if it would be okay if he stopped and picked some wild flowers for me one day. (he passes a field of wild orange day lilies on his way home. He doesn't know that's what they are, but that's not the point.)

1) he had to ask me if that's okay?!
2) HE STILL HASN'T DONE IT

    I can't tell you how many times my husband has come home and said, "I was going to stop and buy you flowers on my way home, but [insert lame excuse here]."

    It's like he wants credit for thinking of it without actually doing it.
