Hi just lost my mucus plug this a.m. and was wondering if anyone knows from present or past experience how long it is until labor begins after this happens. I know it can vary from person to person, but just curious...
I lost parts of mine a week and a half ago (June 23/24) and I'm still pregnant (EDD tomorrow). I was expecting a baby by now, I guess it really is an unreliable labor sign.

Lost mine Wednesday. The answer to your question: FOREVER. It can still be weeks. MP loss is not one of the "time limit" signs, like generally if you have bloody show it's a few days max, or if your water breaks baby has GOT to come out soon because of infection risk.

Can you go into labor without losing it? Or is it just that you didnt know you lost it? Im such an amateur.
Yes you can. You can also be in labor without your water breaking.
