Ugh! I hate that pregnancy has made me stupid!
I was just at my local grocery store to get a couple of items. When I got home I realized that I had left my phone in the little basket that I left at the self checkout. Of course I realized this after I has already put dinner in the oven. I knew my husband would be on his way home soon so I used my Google Voice account to send him a text. A few minutes later I was wondering why he hadn't responded when I realized I had sent the text to myself. I re-typed the message and just before I sent it I double checked the number I was sending it to and sure enough I had entered my boss' number instead of my husbands. Then I had to sit there for a minute trying to remember my husbands number.
Thankfully I eventually remembered and the message got through to DH. He called and the grocery store has my phone and he will get it on his way home.
This is just my most recent example, but I've been plagued with stupidity for most of this pregnancy. Can someone reassure me that when the baby comes I might regain at least some of my mental faculties?
Re: Pregnancy Brain
Oh gotta love pregnancy brain. DH constantly says: "It's okay, you're pregnant stupid." I get so mad at him, the other day he did something dumb and I told him since he wasn't pregnant he had no excuse for being stupid
I have heard our brains will actually get bigger after the baby is born so I'm hoping that means the absentmindedness will go away too!
LOL so true!
