Don't stress, her weight gain will even out. My DD is only 25lbs at 20 months. Most babies won't outgrow a swing because of weight. However, it will need to go once she starts trying to sit up on her own.
1st pregnancy: m/c began 1/12/09 d&c 1/13/09 8wks. Baby stopped growing at about 6wks.
My friend just asked me this morning when he would out grow his swing.....I need to check the weight limit.....but I am dreading that day. He sleeps in his crib at night but for now all naps are in his swing.

OMG - I know. DD sleeps in it for EVERYTHING. I've tried transitioning to no real avail. Will try transitioning her again (at least for night-time sleeping) in a couple of weeks.
Yep, I will cry when I have to put the swing away. He sleeps great in his crib at night, but naps are totally different. The only way he naps is in my arms or in his swing - he doesn't even nap in the Moby. I've tried transitioning him to his crib for naps, but it's not working - and he needs his sleep. It will be rough when that thing goes to the basement.

I know. Linus weighed 14lb 8oz on Friday. I'll die without it. I'm hoping this pace slows down. He'll be gigantic if not lol! I don't understand why they have to go when they sit up though? They're strapped in and mine has the tray that snaps down on top of them. Maybe when they can start climbing out? Or is that the same as when they can sit up on their own lol? I'm so naive about baby development I swear...
Ds is 28 months and 28 pounds. It'll be awhile, however, he stopped using the swing at 6 months because he was starting to sit up and pull on the mobile part!

Let me know if you have any secrets - the swing is the only way DD sleeps through the night. I just dont have the energy to transition her.
