UTI after vaginal delivery?

The nurse that discharged me from the hospital went down a list of things I needed to do to prevent "urine infection", I followed everything but have started to feel like I'm getting a uti anyway =(

Did anyone else get one? I'm hoping it clears up on its own (happens to me sometimes) before my OB's office opens on Tuesday. I'm nervous about antibotics and pumping and will just cry if I have to pump and dump.

    I got one, and it got really bad.  Make sure you take care of it right away.

    I started feeling what I assumed was one coming on a few days ago, but thankfully it hasn't progressed and now I'm not sure what it is. Assuming it's just part of the healing process, but if it starts getting any worse I am definitely calling the doc.

    I got one :( OB said it's Strep, and most women have it w/o symptoms, but it's the only possibility ...I had been feeling a ton of pressure in my urethral area. Very uncomfy. I'm on amoxicillin now. It is safe during breastfeeding.

    SO glad you posted this-- I've just started to feel like I'm getting one-- waiting to see if it's just "healing" or a real UTI.

    I had the worst UTI ever 4 days pp. I ended up in the ER with a fever and shaking chills. I ran a fever between 100.8-102.5 for 3 days straight. It never broke, even with alternating Tylenol and Motrin. I was on Augmentin. It is safe for BF but caused LO to have diarhea for a few days. Finished the antibiotics but feel the UTI is coming back. My OB is doing a culture. Get it checked out because it can turn into a kidney infection, and there are antibiotics safe for BF.
