My DD eats real sweet potatoes and avocados. Does anyone know how long a baked sweet potato is good for? Can I freeze it and then defrost as she needs it?
Also, I am pretty sure there is no way to preserve an avocado but I thought I'd ask...
I make and freeze all kind of baby food. I think it's good for up to 3 months int he freezer, however I use it within a month. You can keep food up to 3 days in the fridge. I would use an avacado only twice. It's best fresh!!
You can slice the avacado and freeze it. We've had no problems with it - just defrost in microwave for a few seconds and use quickly or it will turn brown.
I don't know about sweet potatoes. I puree them and then freeze and that works fine.
